Anniversary Multi-Course Wine-Paired Dinner

Curate turned three this month, so we thought it was only appropriate to celebrate BIG: we are bringing in a local guest Chef Cal Abdinoor and are putting on a multi-course wine paired dinner.

We are offering two seatings:

Friday, 22 March and Saturday, 23 March, both beginning at 7 PM.

Tickets are $115 for Wine Club Members (limit 2 per membership), and $135 for non-Members.

In 2023, Chef Cal Abdinoor was featured on the competitive cooking show Chopped, where he was runner up and became friends with the shows champion Chef Labaki (a local favorite and featured quest chef at Curate). Chef Cal Abdinoor’s BIO

Chef Cal Abdinoor is a culinary creative with a diverse palette that spans the globe. With 11 years of service in the United States Navy, Cal has not only commanded kitchens but has catered to the culinary desires of multiple flag officers and even served as the personal chef for the 28th Secretary of Defense.

During His naval career, Cal Abdinoor earned accolades and multiple medals through his participation in American Culinary Federation (ACF) competitions, showcasing his culinary prowess and commitment to excellence. His culinary journey is a fusion of flavors from Lebanese, Asian, Hawaiian, European, and New American cuisines, creating a unique and tantalizing experience for the taste buds.

Cal has graced the set of Food Network’s CHOPPED, showcasing their skills under pressure and leaving a lasting impression on viewers and judges alike. Beyond the screen, He is the proud owner of Black Dog Dining, a private dining company that offers an exclusive and personalized culinary experience.

From the high-pressure environment of Navy kitchens to the competitive world of culinary competitions and the glamor of Food Network, Chef Cal Abdinoor has seamlessly woven a tapestry of flavors, skills, and experiences that define their journey as a culinary virtuoso.

Chef Georges N. Labaki of Annapolis, MD is a true master of the culinary arts. With a background that blends Lebanese, Filipino, and American cultures, Chef Labaki has honed his skills across a wide range of cuisines and culinary traditions. He has served in a number of esteemed positions, including sous chef at the Secretary of the Navy Dining Facility, as well as cooking for the White House, Australian and British Embassies. He has performed at highly-regarded restaurants such as Oyamel, Zaytinya, Main Event Caterers, and Design Cuisine. Chef Labaki also served as the house manager for the 31st Chief of Naval Operations and currently serves as the Enlisted Aide to the Superintendent of the United States Naval Academy. In 2023, Chef Labaki was named champion on the competitive cooking show Chopped.
